Notice this wonderfull Sandwich.  Notice that one half is gone.  When cutting weight Sarge eats only half his sandwich first then the other half for a snack, around two hours later.  Humans really do not need as much food as they think they do at any one time.  Dont forget to add intense exercise to any dieting plan on most days.  Have a great weekend my Diesels

Way to go all of you who are making the early morning WOD a success! Keep up the good work!

Signing up, training for, and competing in local races should be a "no brainer" for those of you trying to shed pounds, tighten up, tone up, get cut or Diesel. Great job to the athletes that competed in the Mothers day 9k at the Boulder Reservoir.

You're invited to another great event THIS Saturday from 12pm-3:30pm at the box! Boost your personal protection and self-defense skills - Join us on Saturday!

An important seminar if you own a firearm or are considering owning one. Former USMC Recon Sharp Shooter and International Adrenal Stress Response expert Bill Kipp has over 25 years experience as a firearms Instructor.

He'll be giving you the real life experience of appropriately and effectively drawing a firearm and shooting a real person if you ever need to. It is a 3 1/2 Hour Course on Scenario Based Firearms Training for Self Defense, not 'Sport' or 'Target Shooting."

What you'll learn:
  • When it is appropriate to draw a firearm
  • Balistics statistics and the false "myth" of a one shot kill
  • How to set up your legal defense "before' an incident occurs
  • The difference between static sighted fire and adrenal stress point shooting and when it is tactically beneficial to use each
  • Verbal de-escalation with the firearm to deter an attack
  • Surviving the 21 foot drill. Stepping off the attack line of a charging aggressor to gain advantage
  • Point shooting with a real 9mm Semi Automatic pistol and laser on a live target to gain proficiency, accuracy, and confidence in the heat of battle
  • How to assess in the heat of the moment whether to shoot or not shoot
  • In the final scenario we use realistic Airsoft Semi Autos against a live aggressor so there is no need for any "guess work". Your instructor knows when, if and where he was hit and responds accordingly. So both he and you know for sure if you survived the scenario or not.
  • Review your scenario on video to debrief and lock in your experience

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports. ~Greg Glassman
